    Superintendent Of The Year

Congratulations to Karl Galey, district VIII's superintendent of the year for 2018! The Lawrenceburg Community School Corporation has come a long way since Superintendent Galey began in 2009. We are very proud of his hard work and dedication to our students!

    5th Grade Girls Basketball Tryouts

Are you interested in playing basketball? Come join us for 5th grade girls basketball tryouts. Tryouts are December 20 and 21 from 4:00-5:30 p.m.

    A couple things to note

    • Tryouts are closed to parents
    • A physical form, completed by parent, student, and physician must be on file before participating in tryouts.
    • Please contact Miss Soller by e-mail with questions or concerns.

    Lost and Found

CES encourages students to please check the lost and found bin. We have acquired a lot of sweatshirts, coats, hats, lunch boxes, and may other items. These items need to be claimed! We will donate items not claimed before Christmas break to Goodwill. Please have your child check the bin if they have lost an item. Thanks for your help!

Lawrenceburg Community Schools Receive An "A"

The Indiana Department of Education has announced grades for all Indiana school districts. We are proud to announce that Lawrenceburg Community Schools has received an "A" letter grade. This is a huge accomplishment, and we are extremely proud of our students and staff.

    Holiday Shop

The holiday shop is right around the corner and we will be needing a great deal of help. December 11-14, LPS and CES will each host a store for students to purchase items for the holidays. We will need an average of six volunteers each day (total) to make it run smoothly and remain on schedule.

If you are interested in helping our kids shop for their families, assist them in budgeting, check out, and then gift wrap, please e-mail the PTO. A volunteer sign-up sheet will also be available at the meeting on November 27 and in our next newsletter. Hours will be from 11:45 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Thank you for your consideration.

    Extended School Absence

Parents/guardians wishing to remove their child/ren from school for an extended period of time, three days or more, must notify the building principal by completing and submitting the extended absence request form prior to their absence from school. If you need a copy of the form, call the office and we will send a copy home with your child. CES does not encourage prearranged absences for vacation, but rather emergency or special circumstances.

    Weather Reminder

Temperatures are getting colder outside! Please remember to wear a jacket or coat to school, as we do go outside for recess every day.
